Criminal Mischief/Grand Larceny

On June 5 a person reported that between May 31 and June 5 someone unlawfully used his boat that was docked in the Rye Marina. When the man returned to his boat, he found unopened beer bottles scattered around the boat. There was a one-foot long gash in the boats fiberglass and a new battery was removed. Approximately $200 worth of fuel was used from the boat.

Building Theft

On June 4 an employee at Westchester Medical group reported that a safe in the vascular office had been broken into. The incident happened the previous evening and $370 cash was missing from the safe. There was money left in the safe. Many medical employees have the combination to the safe but they are not believed to be involved in the theft. Police arrived on scene to investigate and take fingerprints.

Criminal Mischief

On June 4 a security guard at Rye High School reported that two students placed approximately 15 adhesive stickers on the security guards car. The guard stated that there is video surveillance of this action occurring and that it cost him $50 to remove the stickers from his car. He plans on pursuing criminal charges.

Loud Party

Police received a call on June 5 that there was a large party making noise on North Street. When officers arrived they found several youths in the open garage drinking alcohol in plain view. When the officers identified themselves, the youths attempted to hide the alcohol. A 19-year-old-girl was identified as the host of the party. The father then came downstairs and stated that he had no idea that 20-25 young people were drinking in his home. Identification was taken from the youths on scene.
